Anna Traub
Mezzo-soprano Anna Traub was born and raised in Basel (Switzerland). By the age of four, she was studying piano, and working as a supernumerary at the Theater Basel, where, at the age of fifteen, she also joined the chorus. She gained experience as a soloist in the Mädchenkantorei Basel. She was also a student in the ballet school of the Theater Basel for 10 years.
In 2006 Anna Traub completed her vocal studies with Distinction at the “Musikhochschule Luzern” (Switzerland) with Barbara Locher, and received a subsidy of the Maria and Walter Strebi Erni Foundation for the most promising graduates. She then moved to the Netherlands and continued her studies with Valerie Guillorit, and Pierre Mak at the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music. For her total vocal education she received a scholarship of the Dr. Max Husmann-Stiftung.
