Christina Maria Karenovics
Swiss soprano Christina Maria Karenovics started her career as a dancer, but soon discovered singing to be her true love. She graduated with Distinction in opera singing, at the Royal Conservatory of Music The Hague (Netherlands) and the Conservatory of Music Tilburg (Netherlands), and was invited by belcanto-specialist Nelly Miricioiu for personal instruction. She continued her studies with American tenor James McCray, and is currently coached by Gemma Visser.
Christina Maria Karenovics made her stage debut with Opera Zuid (Netherlands) in Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte”, and has been invited to sing on many European stages. She has performed as a soloist under important conductors such as Peter Robinson, Louis Buskens, Jacq van Steen, and Jan Cober and with orchestras such as the Nürnberger Symphonikern, the Leipzig Symphony Orchestra and The Limburg Symphony Orchestra.
