Francis van Broekhuizen
Francis van Broekhuizen started her vocal studies at age 15. She received her first private lessons from Bulgarian soprano Dobrinka Yankova in The Hague (Netherlands). Hereafter Francis continued her vocal studies with Kevin Smith at the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music. After graduating with Distinction in 2002 she completed her vocal education at The New Dutch Opera Academy, again with Distinction.
After being named semifinalist at the International Vocal Contest in Den Bosch (Netherlands) and prizewinner at the Deutekom Opera Contest, Francis has been working in the Netherlands – since 2006 - as a soloist at Opera Zuid, Opera Trionfo and Opera Spanga.
