Marjolein Latour
Dutch Soprano Marjolein Latour started her education for the “State Examination Music Education” in 1985. She graduated with Ank Reijnders in solosinging in 1995. In addition to this education she took masterclasses and operaclasses.
From 1993 to 1998 Marjolein joined the opera/operetta society “Thalia” in Amsterdam, where she started as a soloist with the leading role of “Laetitia” in the operetta “The Zoo” by Gilbert & Sullivan. Subsequently she performed for six years the leading parts in fourteen productions of Thalia. She sang her first opera in 1994: “Madame Silberklang” in “Der Schauspieldirektor” by W.A. Mozart. In 2000 she performed the roles of Olympia, Antonia, Giulietta and Stella in the opera “Les Contes d’Hoffmann” by Jacques Offenbach.
