Wiebke Göetjes
Dutch Soprano Wiebke Göetjes studied at the Utrecht Conservatory of Music (Netherlands) with Marianne Blok. At the same time she took part in the Operaclass of the Royal Conservatory of Music The Hague (Netherlands), directed by conductor Kenneth Montgomery. After finishing her vocal education at the Conservatory, she studied with famous Coloratura Cristina Deutekom. She is currently coached by Annett Andriesen and Monica Pick-Hieronimi.
After graduating she was promptly contracted for the role of Carlotta Giudicelli, in the Dutch production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ’The Phantom of the Opera”. This was followed by a contract in Germany, for the title role in Verdi’s Aida, and the role of Elisabeth in Wagner’s Tannhäuser. The start of a brilliant career, with many principle roles, in productions of Tosca, Madame Butterfly, Turandot, Abigaille, Senta, Ariadne auf Naxos and Fidelio, in a choice selection of international Operahouses. In the Netherlands, her homeland, she also regularly performs in the wellknown concert halls.
