Mark Omvlee
After Secondary School, after attending the introductory year at the “Kleinkunst Academie” in Amsterdam and studying School Music for one year, Dutch tenor Mark Omvlee (1977) graduated in 2003 with Hein Meens at the Conservatory of Music Amsterdam. He was coached by Marcel Reijans and Miranda van Kralingen, and currently by Gemma Visser.
In 2006, he debuted at “Opera Zuid”(Netherlands) in the title role of Strawinsky’s “Mavra”. After performing this role for multiple seasons, Mark is now a member of the soloists ensemble of Opera Zuid, for which he’ll perform the tenor parts in among others: Le Nozze di Figaro, Der Rosenkavalier, Barbe-bleue and Die Zauberflöte.
Mark also seeks further development as a concertsinger, and he wishes to extend his repertoire of oratoria.
